Rapid Global Induction: What Workers and Contractors Need to Know

Last checked 10 October 2026 against the official sources listed at the end of this guide.

If a client or employer has told you to complete a Rapid Global induction, here is what Rapid Global is, how a worker receives and completes the induction, what the contractor company does, where the Rapid Global login fits, and what is and is not published about cost and mining use.

What is Rapid Global?

Rapid Global is a workplace safety software company whose platform includes online inductions and contractor management. Its home page lists seven products: Contractor Management, Induct (online inductions and onboarding), Access (site access, visitor management and attendance), Permit (work permits), Monitor, Incident Reporting and Auditor. They can be bought individually or as a bundle called Rapid One, with one login and one invoice (Rapid Global).

When people say “Rapid Global induction” or “Rapid Induct” they usually mean the Induct product. It is an induction tool that a hiring company uses. You do not shop for it or sign up to it yourself in the way you might book a general induction course.

Who owns Rapid Global?

Rapid Global’s pages do not say. The footer names the legal entity as Rapid Global Pty Ltd, and the “who we are” page gives no parent company or acquisition history. It lists offices in Sydney and Adelaide in Australia, Slough in the United Kingdom and La Mercy in South Africa, and cites 1,000+ client organisations and 7M+ users worldwide (Rapid Global, who we are). Those figures are Rapid Global’s own claims.

What a worker does

Rapid Global’s Induct page says inductions are assigned by role, location or site, and that workers can complete them online from web, mobile or kiosk before arriving on site. Inductees upload required licences, certificates and training evidence, and a Rapid Induct Premium app lets them view and update documents, access their ID card and QR code, and complete inductions (Rapid Global Induct). The page does not use the term “Rapid ID”, so we do not either. It does not describe pass marks.

The steps below come from one client’s 2022 guide, Gladstone Ports Corporation, a port operator rather than a mine. Your client may set it up differently (user guide, inductee FAQs).

  1. Your company administrator issues you a password. You receive an email with the password and a link. The FAQ says Rapid Global support agents cannot issue induction keys, so if nothing arrives, ask your manager who your company administrator is.
  2. You create your own MyRapid account. You open the link or go to my.rapidglobal.com, enter your own email or mobile number and the issued password, create your own MyRapid password, then verify the account with a code sent by email or SMS.
  3. You upload documents. That guide says all inductees must upload a photo to speed up the site access card, plus any licences or tickets the client requires.
  4. You work through the course. You click the course name and use the Next button. The FAQ says a status of “In Progress” means you have not reached Submit on the final slide, and “Not Yet Competent” means you finished but did not reach the required pass mark.
  5. The client approves you. At that port, a supervisor reviews licences and competencies in Rapid Global, and the site card is issued by the client’s security office.

The FAQ also says photos must be on a plain white background, facing the camera, with nothing covering your face, in JPEG format, or they are rejected. Document statuses include Pending, Require verification, Verified, Rejected and Expired. The online course had to be repeated every 24 months at that port.

Rapid Global login

The Rapid Global login is MyRapid, at my.rapidglobal.com (MyRapid). This site cannot log you in or reset passwords. For problems, Rapid Global’s contact page lists a support ticket form, a support centre, system status and a toll free phone line on 1800 307 595 (Rapid Global contact). The Gladstone FAQ adds that password reset codes expire after 24 hours, and that company IT teams may need to allow email from noreply@rapidglobal.com. Check your junk folder too.

What the contractor business does

Rapid Global’s contractor management page is written for the hiring client. It describes customisable prequalification by contractor type, checks of insurance, SWMS and inductees from one screen, automated reminders for expiring documents, and gate entry that is blocked until compliance, induction and permit requirements are met. For contractors, it says companies complete prequalification and company registration after an invitation, upload documents before arriving on site, then complete inductions (Rapid Global contractor management).

In the Gladstone guide, a nominated company administrator registers the company with its ABN, sets a password, uploads safety and environment documents and completes a health, safety and environment questionnaire. Once the client marks the company compliant, the administrator issues induction passwords to employees and subcontractors and views their inductee reports (user guide). Where an induction is needed, the order matters: at that port, employees could not start until the company was approved.

What it costs

Rapid Global does not publish a price for Induct or Contractor Management. Both product pages mention only a Rapid One plan with access to everything, and point to a demo for details. We therefore give no general figure.

One published example: Gladstone Ports Corporation’s 2022 guide said each induction cost $25.00 plus GST, bought by the contractor company as credits, one per inductee, by credit card or on invoice. That is a single client’s arrangement from 2022. Other clients may charge differently, pay for it themselves, or pass the cost on in another way. Ask whoever invited you who pays before you buy anything.

Mining companies and Rapid Global

Rapid Global has a mining page that markets contractor management, induction, access and permit tools for mining sites. The only organisation it names there is Wilmar Sugar Australia, which is a sugar manufacturer, not a miner (Rapid Global mining).

The one mining customer we could verify is Doral Fused Materials. Rapid Global’s customer story describes it as a Western Australian mining company, categorised under manufacturing, that moved from paper-based inductions to Rapid Induct. It built separate courses for contractors, employees, visitors and drivers, and the story says people can complete the induction privately at home (Doral customer story). That is a vendor-published story from one operation. It does not tell you what any large miner requires. For that, ask the company that engaged you.

What to have ready

Frequently asked questions

What is a Rapid Global induction?

It is an online induction delivered through Rapid Global's software, which Rapid Global sells as Induct (the Rapid Induct name also appears in its materials). A company that hires you sets the courses and assigns them by role, location or site, and you complete them on web, mobile or kiosk. The content comes from the hiring company, not from Rapid Global.

Is there a Rapid Global login page on this site?

No. Rapid Global's sign-in is MyRapid at my.rapidglobal.com. If you were sent an induction, the email from your client or your company administrator is the starting point. Rapid Global's contact page lists a support centre, a ticket form and a phone line for login problems.

How much does a Rapid Global induction cost?

Rapid Global does not publish prices on the pages we checked. Its product pages mention only a Rapid One plan that bundles products and send you to a demo for details. One client, Gladstone Ports Corporation, published a 2022 guide where each induction credit cost $25 plus GST, bought by the contractor company. That is one client's arrangement, not a standard price.

Does a Rapid Global induction let me work on a mine site?

Not by itself. A Rapid Global induction covers what the company that assigned it has put in the course. For mining, site access normally also needs the mine's own inductions, tickets and requirements. Ask the company that invited you what else is needed before you travel.

How long does a Rapid Global induction last?

The client decides. Rapid Global's Induct page says its system sends alerts for expiring licences and refresher due dates. In the Gladstone Ports Corporation FAQ, the online induction had to be repeated every 24 months. Check your own client's rule.

Which mining companies use Rapid Global?

We verified one: Doral Fused Materials, which Rapid Global's customer story describes as a Western Australian mining company that processes raw materials, and which uses Rapid Induct for contractor, employee, visitor and driver inductions. Rapid Global's own list files it under manufacturing. We found no other mining customer named on Rapid Global's pages, so ask the buyer which platform applies.
