Do I need mining experience to be a FIFO utility?

Not necessarily. ISS says previous FIFO or mine site experience would be highly advantageous, but asks for experience in cleaning, housekeeping, catering, tavern or a similar role. Sodexo's Darwin ad says FIFO, DIDO or remote site experience is desirable but not essential.

What is the difference between FIFO and DIDO?

Cater Care explains that FIFO means flying in to your place of work for a period before flying home, while DIDO means driving in at the start of your roster, staying on site, then driving home. DIDO suits people who live roughly two hours or more from the site.
