Before you apply

What we could not verify

We looked for these and did not find a primary source, so they are not stated above.

  • NSW Fair Trading licensing requirements were not checked. If you plan to work at New South Wales mines, read the NSW rules before applying.
  • The Queensland licence details come from a government business portal summary. Check mutual recognition for interstate electricians directly with the Queensland Electrical Safety Office.
  • No current electrician ad from Mineral Resources, UGL, Ventia, Anglo American or BMA was confirmed, and the miners' own career pages were mostly not readable. Most ads read came through contractors.
  • Hazardous area (Ex) competencies were only seen as EEHA in one Queensland coal underground ad. Other sites may ask for them.
  • Tickets and validity periods differ between employers. Always check the specific ad.
  • Job ads close. Check each employer ad is still open before relying on it.
