What are the rules for dozer ticket?
RIIMPO323 Conduct civil construction dozer operations is the current national unit (Release 1, training.gov.au document generated 2 September 2026). It supersedes and is equivalent to RIIMPO323E.

What is the dozer ticket unit code?
RIIMPO323, Conduct civil construction dozer operations. It is current on training.gov.au and supersedes RIIMPO323E. The older RIIMPO308F Conduct tracked dozer operations is also still current, and RMS Training, Australian Operator Training and Forky Stick Training still show it. Confirm the code when you book.
How much does a dozer ticket cost?
Across 10 providers, published course prices run $490 to $2,200, as listed on each provider's own page and last checked 10 October 2026. Subsidised places are not counted in that range. The cheapest listing is a half day simulator course, and the most expensive is a 4 day course in the Hunter Valley.
Is a dozer ticket a high risk work licence?
No. The unit states that no licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply at the time of publication. SafeWork NSW says HRWLs are no longer required for earth moving plant such as bulldozers, WorkSafe Victoria says earthmoving equipment needs no HRWL, and the WA HRWL page names no earthmoving class. Check your state regulator and your site.
What is a VOC and will a site ask for one?
A verification of competency (VOC) checks you can already do the task safely. Saferight says there is no nationally set VOC expiry, and many companies ask for one every 2 to 3 years or when you start a new job. Ask your employer or site what they accept.
Does a simulator course count?
RMS Training sells its dozer ticket as a half day on a simulator, with a real machine on request at extra cost. We cannot say whether your site accepts a simulator ticket, so ask your employer or site before you book.
Is any funding available?
Some providers advertise it. Ascent Training Solutions shows a $150 CSQ student price, Noble Training Group shows $200 subsidised, and Major Training Group shows a $150 CSQ gap fee. Saferight shows a $402 CTF gap fee for eligible WA workers. Eligibility rules apply, so check with the provider.
Where can I do a dozer ticket near a mining region?
Of the providers we checked, Australian Operator Training runs in Emerald, Coal Train Training in Yeppoon, Forky Stick Training in Rockhampton and HPOTS Training in Cessnock. We did not find a priced public dozer course page for the Pilbara or Goldfields. Several providers also train at your site on request.
